UAE, 12 June, 2024 : The UAE Ministry of Finance (MoF) welcomed a delegation from the Government Expenditure and Projects Efficiency Authority of Saudi Arabia (EXPRO) at its headquarters in Abu Dhabi. The meeting focused on sharing the UAE's experience in launching the Digital Procurement Platform, framework agreements, and benefits for small and medium-sized enterprises.
Led by Younis Haji Al Khoori, Undersecretary of the UAE Ministry of Finance, the meeting included discussions with Saudi counterparts Khalid Almalki, Saqer Al Sulaim, Ahmed bin Mahmoud, and Shaden Al Mesned. Al Khoori highlighted the historic ties between the UAE and Saudi Arabia and the importance of collaboration for mutual development.
The UAE-Saudi partnership is fortified by the Saudi-Emirati Coordination Council, jointly led by His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan and His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud. One of the council's pillars is economic and financial cooperation, aimed at enhancing achievements and creating new opportunities.
The UAE Ministry of Finance's digital procurement solutions streamline government purchasing, reducing processing time from 60 days to six minutes for purchases from shared lists. Framework agreements with suppliers ensure cost-efficiency and quality in government spending, revolutionizing traditional procurement processes.
