UAE, 22 June, 2024 :Â The UAE Ministry of Finance organized an interactive public policy analysis workshop in Dubai on May 23. The event aimed to enhance understanding and collaboration among government entities, gathering experts from the Ministry of Finance, Central Bank of the UAE, and various local government departments.
His Excellency Saeed Rashid Alyateem, Assistant Undersecretary for Government Budget and Revenue Sector, emphasized the workshop's goal to improve public policy frameworks and strengthen public financial management. The session highlighted the importance of fiscal policy analysis and the influence of strategic interactions and institutional roles on policy effectiveness.
Presentations were led by Sara Al Majedi, Head of Macroeconomic Studies and Tools, and Dr. Sahel Alrousan, Senior Economic Advisor at the Macro-Fiscal Policy Department. They covered theoretical and practical aspects of policy formulation and its impact on government operations and social well-being.
The workshop divided discussions into four main groups: the importance and objectives of public policy, mechanisms of strategic interactions, the role of institutions, and basics of financial policy analysis. Participants exchanged ideas, best practices, and received new tools and perspectives to implement in their organizations, supporting future public policy initiatives in the UAE.
