Bahrain Minister Leads Delegation in Bahraini-US FTA Committee Meeting in Washington, DC

Bahrain, 26 June, 2024 : H.E. Mr. Abdulla bin Adel Fakhro, Minister of Industry and Commerce, headed Bahrain's delegation at the meeting of the Joint Bahraini-US Free Trade Agreement Committee in Washington, DC. The session included Assistant United States Trade Representative Mr. Bryant Trick and senior officials from both nations.

Minister Fakhro underscored the longstanding and robust US-Bahraini relations, emphasizing the strategic importance of the comprehensive agreement signed in September. This agreement, witnessed by Bahraini and US dignitaries, signifies a strengthened partnership focused on security integration and prosperity, spanning various fields such as technology, trade, and investment.

Highlighting the agreement's evolution from the initial US-Bahrain FTA signed two decades ago, Minister Fakhro noted its pivotal role in fostering bilateral trade and investment. He emphasized Bahrain's commitment to a sustainable economy grounded in transparency, competitiveness, and private sector engagement. This commitment aims to optimize investment opportunities, stimulate new markets, and drive sustainable economic growth across sectors.
