Kuwait, 3 July, 2024 Kuwait has expanded its "open door" policy into the virtual realm, aligning with directives from His Highness the Amir Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah to enhance transparency and public service efficiency.
The government has removed physical bureaucratic barriers and introduced the "Tawasul System" on the smart service platform "Sahel." This digital initiative allows citizens to easily request meetings with top officials and submit queries and complaints swiftly. The aim is to foster transparency and strengthen trust between citizens and the government.
Amer Al-Ajmi, head of the local affairs sector and government spokesperson, highlighted that the policy supports efforts to build confidence among the public by providing a transparent mechanism for resolving issues efficiently. The system covers all ministries involved in public services and utilities, streamlining processes and reducing bureaucratic delays.
Citizens can now schedule meetings with ministers, deputies, or undersecretaries through the online platform, with each ministry setting terms and durations for these interactions. Ministries have committed to addressing citizen concerns promptly and improving service delivery across state departments.
