Qatar, 4 July, 2024 : Mohammed bin Ahmed bin Twar Al Kuwari, First Vice Chairman of the Qatar Chamber, held a video call with Rasulov Dilshod Ozodovich, Deputy Chairman of the Uzbekistan Chamber of Commerce and Industry, along with officials from both sides.
The meeting focused on boosting trade and economic cooperation between Qatar and Uzbekistan, exploring key sectors for Qatari and Uzbekistani investors. They also discussed activating existing agreements between their chambers of commerce.
Plans were made to convene the Qatari-Uzbekistan Business Council in Doha this September, with arrangements underway for a Qatari business delegation visit to Uzbekistan in October. Bin Twar emphasized Uzbekistan's appeal as an important destination for Qatari businessmen keen on exploring investment opportunities.
Highlighting the Qatar Chamber's support for partnerships and joint ventures, Bin Twar stressed the need for favorable investment incentives and protective legislation in Uzbekistan. He anticipated that the upcoming visit to Uzbekistan would strengthen trade ties and enhance bilateral economic relations.
Vice Chairman Rasulov expressed strong interest from Uzbekistani businessmen in entering the Qatari market and collaborating on projects with Qatari partners. He anticipated that the upcoming meetings would facilitate deeper understanding of business climates and opportunities for both nations.
