Federal Tax Authority Celebrates Excellence and Innovation at Annual Gathering

UAE, 12 July, 2024 : The Federal Tax Authority (FTA) celebrated its annual gathering by recognizing exceptional employees and innovators who have contributed significantly to its success. His Excellency Khalid Ali Al Bustani, Director General of the FTA, highlighted the Authority’s achievements in setting standards of excellence and innovation.

Al Bustani emphasized the FTA’s vision to become a world-leading tax authority, guided by forward-looking strategies and a commitment to government excellence. The event underscored the FTA’s dedication to enhancing its institutional environment, fostering creativity, and maintaining high performance standards.

The FTA was awarded the Best Workplace certification for 2024 by Great Place to Work, recognizing its efforts in creating a positive and high-standard work culture. The ceremony honored 68 employees across various categories including Employees of the Year, Teams of the Year, Founding Employees, and Innovators of the Year.

Al Bustani highlighted the FTA’s recent initiatives and projects such as the Corporate Tax system, EmaraTax smart application, and initiatives to facilitate tax compliance for SMEs. These efforts are part of the FTA’s strategy to drive digital transformation and streamline tax procedures.

The FTA’s commitment to the UAE’s Zero Government Bureaucracy Programme was also emphasized, aiming to reduce government procedures and enhance service efficiency. Al Bustani reaffirmed the Authority’s dedication to excellence and innovation, ensuring alignment with global standards in institutional development and service quality.
