UAE, 30 July, 2024 : The UAE, led by the Ministry of Finance, held its inaugural Strategic Financial Dialogue with Poland in Warsaw to enhance bilateral cooperation in financial and economic sectors. The meeting explored collaboration opportunities in renewable energy and banking.
The Emirati delegation, headed by H.E. Younis Haji Al Khoori, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Finance, included key figures such as H.E. Ahmed Ibrahim Al Mansouri, Consul General in Poland; H.E. Dr. Maryam Buti Alsuwaidi, CEO of the Securities and Commodities Authority; and other senior officials from the UAE's financial sector. The Polish delegation was led by H.E. Paweł Karbownik, Undersecretary of State at the Ministry of Finance.
During the session, Al Khoori praised the event for strengthening financial ties and expanding economic and trade relations. He highlighted the UAE's progress in financial sustainability, with the non-oil sector contributing 75% to the GDP in 2023, and a projected growth rate of 6.2% by 2025. The dialogue also focused on renewable energy, treasury bonds, and financial technology.
Al Khoori emphasized the UAE's role as a global financial hub and its advancements in digital transformation and AI. He thanked the Polish hosts and expressed hope for future dialogues in the UAE.
The dialogue included presentations on the UAE’s treasury bonds program, market developments by the Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange, and investment opportunities at the Dubai International Financial Centre. Discussions covered tax policies, financial technology, and AI tools.
