UAE, 2 August, 2024 : The Central Bank of the UAE (CBUAE) and Dubai Courts have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to link electronic services related to court judgments, orders, and decisions with the Central Bank’s court cases management system. The MoU was signed by CBUAE Governor H.E Khaled Mohamed Balama and Dubai Courts Director-General H.E Prof. Saif Ghanem Al Suwaidi at the Central Bank’s headquarters in Abu Dhabi, with senior officials from both parties in attendance.

This MoU is part of the Zero Government Bureaucracy Programme aimed at improving service efficiency and quality, supporting the UAE’s digital strategy for individuals and businesses. It establishes mechanisms for electronic connectivity to expedite the execution of judicial decisions within the jurisdiction of the Central Bank, adhering to its procedural rules.

Governor Balama highlighted that the MoU reflects the Central Bank’s commitment to digital transformation and integration with federal and local authorities to provide world-class services, enhance global competitiveness, and support sustainable growth.

Director-General Al Suwaidi emphasized that the MoU enhances collaboration with the Central Bank, improving the efficiency and speed of executing judicial decisions. He noted that this initiative aligns with Dubai’s smart transformation goals, aiming to make the city the smartest and happiest in the world, as envisioned by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister of the UAE, and Ruler of Dubai. This step strengthens Dubai Courts’ efforts to ensure swift justice, exceptional judicial services, and uphold the values of justice, independence, and transparency.
