Saudi Sherpa Office Hosts Second G20 Coordination Workshop

KSA, 28 August, 2024 : The Saudi Sherpa Office at the Ministry of Finance held its second G20 workshop on August 27, 2024, to coordinate with Saudi government entities participating in the 2024 G20 under Brazil's presidency. Chaired by His Excellency Mr. Abdulmuhsen Alkhalaf, Saudi Vice Minister of Finance and Sherpa, the workshop brought together representatives from the Kingdom’s G20 working and engagement groups.

The workshop provided an overview of the 2024 G20 agenda, focusing on Brazil's priorities, including enhancing cooperation, addressing global issues, and fostering inclusive dialogue. It continued efforts to ensure coordinated and unified participation of Saudi entities in the G20, discussing key issues and developments under the Brazilian presidency.

Brazil, hosting its first G20 Summit under the theme “Building a Just World and a Sustainable Planet," is prioritizing efforts to fight hunger, poverty, and inequality, advance sustainable development, and reform global governance.
