KSA, 2 September, 2024 : The Zakat, Tax and Customs Authority (ZATCA) is urging taxpayers to benefit from its “Cancellation of Fines and Exemption of Penalties Initiative,” which runs until December 31, 2024.
The initiative covers fines for late registration, late payment, late filing, and VAT-related violations, including e-invoicing regulations. To qualify, taxpayers must be registered with the tax system, submit all overdue returns, and pay the principal tax debt. An installment plan is available if requested before the initiative ends, with all payments due by the specified dates. Note that penalties for tax evasion and fines paid before the initiative are excluded.
Taxpayers can find detailed information on ZATCA's website, including eligibility criteria and procedural steps. For assistance, ZATCA provides support through its unified call center and live chat on its website.
