Bahrain, 4 September, 2024 : H.E. Abdulla bin Adel Fakhro, Minister of Industry and Commerce of Bahrain, and Rt Hon Douglas Alexander MP, UK Minister for Trade Policy and Economic Security, held a phone call to explore expanded investment cooperation and strengthen their strategic partnership.
Fakhro highlighted the UK's role as a key global investment partner and the steady growth in economic relations between the two nations. He underscored the significance of the free trade agreement between GCC countries and the UK, noting its potential to transform trade and investment relations.
The discussion covered various areas of mutual interest and strategies to boost bilateral investments. Fakhro expressed Bahrain's commitment to enhancing economic cooperation and emphasized the pivotal role of the private sector in achieving shared objectives.
