UAE, 10 September, 2024 : Abu Dhabi Crown Prince H.H. Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan met with Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi in New Delhi to discuss deepening strategic relations between the UAE and India. The meeting, held at Hyderabad House, focused on enhancing the partnership between the two nations across various sectors.
Sheikh Khaled conveyed greetings from UAE President H.H. Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan and expressed hopes for continued prosperity for India. Modi welcomed the Crown Prince, lauding the UAE's commitment to advancing relations and emphasizing the historic bonds between the countries.
Several key agreements were announced, including a 15-year liquefied natural gas (LNG) deal between ADNOC and IndianOil, and an extension of ADNOC's oil storage agreement with Indian Strategic Petroleum Reserve Limited to bolster India's energy security. Additionally, ADQ signed an MoU with the Government of Gujarat to develop a major food and agriculture park.
The Emirates Nuclear Energy Corporation and India’s Nuclear Power Corporation also agreed to exchange expertise in nuclear energy development. These partnerships highlight ongoing efforts to strengthen cooperation under the UAE-India Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (CEPA).
