Oman, 11 September, 2024 : The Ministry of Housing and Urban Planning (MHUP) has announced 151 new investment projects aimed at boosting the sultanate's economy and sectoral development. These opportunities, detailed on the Tatweer platform, include commercial and agricultural ventures to enhance land-use efficiency and stimulate growth across various regions.
In partnership with the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries, and Water Resources, MHUP has introduced 89 new agricultural projects covering over 9 million sqm. This includes 70 agricultural ventures, 10 livestock projects, 7 water sector initiatives, and 2 fisheries projects, all aimed at improving food, water, and livestock security using modern methods.
Additionally, MHUP has launched 62 development projects via Tatweer, comprising 2 commercial projects, 3 commercial-residential areas, and 57 industrial zones, totaling over 100,000 sqm.
Applicants must be Omani nationals over 23 or companies with at least 30% Omani or GCC ownership. Applications require electronic submission with personal identification or commercial registration numbers and a refundable deposit of RO500 per project.
