UAE, 13 September, 2024 : H.H. Sheikh Ahmed bin Mohammed, Second Deputy Ruler of Dubai, attended the UAE-China Business Forum, which saw over 300 delegates discussing strategies to enhance bilateral trade and investment. The event, organized by Dubai Chambers and China Chamber of Commerce, marked the 40th anniversary of UAE-China diplomatic relations.
Chinese Premier Li Qiang led the Chinese delegation, while UAE Minister of Economy Abdullah bin Touq Al Marri highlighted the strong economic ties between the two countries. He noted the UAE is home to over 15,500 Chinese businesses and emphasized the shared vision to expand cooperation across sectors like tourism, aviation, FinTech, AI, and infrastructure.
The forum featured four panel discussions, focusing on sovereign wealth funds, energy partnerships, and trade opportunities. Abdul Aziz Al Ghurair, Chairman of Dubai Chambers, highlighted China as the UAE's top trading partner, with 5,480 Chinese companies registered with Dubai Chamber of Commerce.
The event followed the successful Dubai Business Forum – China, held in Beijing, which attracted 800 Chinese business leaders and explored opportunities under Dubai’s D33 agenda. The forum reinforced the UAE and China's commitment to enhancing economic cooperation.
