UAE, 13 September, 2024 : Ras Al Khaimah Economic Zone (RAKEZ) recently wrapped up a successful mission in China, featuring participation in the China International Fair for Investment & Trade (CIFIT). The mission, overseen by H.H. Sheikh Saud bin Saqr Al Qasimi, Ruler of Ras Al Khaimah, included B2B activities in major Chinese cities and showcased investment opportunities at the ‘Invest RAK’ pavilion.
During the event, RAKEZ signed two key Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs). The first, with Shenzhen Longhua District, aims to boost trade and investment in the digital economy and healthcare sectors. The second, with construction firm THi, focuses on industrial and educational joint ventures.
Ramy Jallad, Group CEO of RAKEZ, emphasized the mission’s role in enhancing international relations and economic growth, particularly in alignment with the Belt and Road Initiative. Additionally, RAKEZ secured a US$360 million lease with Shandong Timber and Wood Products Association for the Zhong A Shandong Industrial Park, expected to generate over 3,500 jobs.
