KSA, 19 September, 2024 :An Italian business association representing 7,000 companies announced plans to expand investments in Saudi Arabia and collaborate with Saudi investors under Vision 2030. The announcement came during the Saudi-Italian Business Forum at the Federation of Saudi Chambers on September 18, 2024.
The event, attended by Italian Ambassador Carlo Balducci and over 140 companies, highlighted Italy's interest in Saudi projects across investment, scientific, and cultural fields. Attilio Fontana, president of Lombardy Regional Government, emphasized Lombardy's economic strength and openness to international investors, offering incentives to Saudi investors.
Eng. Kamel Al-Munajjed, chairman of the Saudi-Italian Business Council, noted the significant growth in bilateral trade, now at SR38 billion. He highlighted opportunities in logistics, infrastructure, and digital technologies, as well as Italian expertise in construction for Saudi projects.
Lombardy, a key financial and industrial hub, is eager to engage in sectors such as automobiles, space, biotechnology, AI, and advanced technology.
