UAE, 23 September, 2024 : Ras Al Khaimah Economic Zone (RAKEZ) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the UAE-India CEPA Council (UICC) to enhance the UAE-India economic partnership. The agreement, signed by RAKEZ’s Yaser Abdulla Al Ahmed and UICC’s Ahmed Aljneibi, took place during the UAE-India Business Forum in Mumbai.
The MoU aims to boost awareness of the UAE-India Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (CEPA) and strengthen economic, investment, and trade relations. Both organizations will collaborate on events and share information to foster deeper connections among private sector stakeholders.
RAKEZ CEO Ramy Jallad emphasized the importance of UAE-India cooperation, stating that the MoU will help unlock new business opportunities and drive innovation and investment. The partnership will also support the growth of Indian companies within the RAKEZ ecosystem, which currently hosts over 6,000 Indian investors.
The agreement is seen as a key step in advancing the trade and investment ties between the two nations.
