IFZA Expands into Switzerland with New Office in Zurich

UAE, 23 September, 2024 : Dubai's International Free Zone Authority (IFZA) has launched its new office in Zurich, Switzerland, in partnership with Quadris Solutions Ltd. This marks IFZA's first expansion into the Swiss market, aimed at fostering direct connections with Swiss businesses and aligning with the UAE’s vision to attract international companies.

The launch event, held at Zunfthaus zur Meisen, saw over 150 guests, including UAE Ambassador to Switzerland Dr. Hissa Abdulla Ahmed Al-Otaiba, Swiss Business Council UAE President Michael Lane, and CASCI Secretary General Hilda Al-Hinai. IFZA was officially welcomed as the newest member of the Arab-Swiss Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CASCI).

Holger Schlechter, CFO of IFZA, emphasized the significance of Switzerland as the UAE’s top trading partner in the Middle East, with bilateral trade surpassing $22.3 billion in 2023. The Zurich office will offer tailored solutions for Swiss businesses, supporting them in accessing opportunities in Dubai.

The event also highlighted the new direct flight routes between Basel and Dubai, boosting connectivity and business potential between the two nations.
