UAE, 23 September, 2024 : Dubai Chambers held its 12th edition of the ‘Diplomatic Circle,’ attracting over 100 ambassadors, consul generals, and commercial attachés to enhance economic cooperation between Dubai and the international community. The event showcased opportunities within Dubai’s economy and the chambers’ efforts to strengthen trade and investment partnerships.
Chairman Abdul Aziz Abdulla Al Ghurair emphasized the crucial role of diplomats in fostering international cooperation, highlighting the growing network of 55 country-specific Business Councils and 31 international representative offices aimed at attracting businesses and boosting trade. He expressed gratitude for the diplomatic corps' contribution to Dubai’s strategic objectives and the Dubai Economic Agenda (D33).
The event featured insights from Dr. Thani bin Ahmed Al Zeyoudi, UAE Minister of State for Foreign Trade, who discussed the importance of Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreements (CEPAs) in enhancing trade and bolstering the UAE’s global relationships. Al Zeyoudi underscored that these agreements are vital for economic growth and diversification.
Mohammad Ali Rashed Lootah, President and CEO of Dubai Chambers, presented the achievements of the chambers in the first half of 2024 and outlined future plans for the Dubai Chamber of Commerce, Dubai Chamber of Digital Economy, and Dubai International Chamber.
