UAE, 24 September, 2024 : Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI) hosted the inaugural meeting of the newly established Pakistan Business Council in Sharjah. The Council aims to enhance trade and investment ties between Sharjah and Pakistan, fostering sustainable economic growth for both regions.
During the meeting, Dr. Syed Muhammad Tahir was appointed Chairman, with Syed Saleem Akhtar as First Vice-Chairman, Amer Hassan as Second Vice-Chairman, and Salman Wasal as Honorary Treasurer. Members discussed strategies to achieve the Council’s goals, including regular networking events and trade delegation exchanges.
Fatema Khalifa Al Muqarrab, Director of International Relations at SCCI, emphasized the importance of business councils in promoting economic cooperation. She reaffirmed SCCI’s support for the Pakistan Business Council since its launch, highlighting the Chamber's role in guiding its future initiatives.
Dr. Tahir outlined plans to promote investment opportunities in both Sharjah and Pakistan, focusing on key sectors and creating a comprehensive database to streamline collaboration between businesses in both countries.
