UAE, 24 September, 2024 : The Dubai Centre for Family Businesses, part of Dubai Chambers, recently concluded a successful session of its 'Governance Series,' focusing on effective succession planning strategies. The interactive workshop attracted 40 representatives from family businesses and aimed to ensure smooth management transitions across generations.
Guest speakers included Vladislav Burda, President of RedHead Family Corporation, who shared insights on managing family businesses, and Dr. Joseph Astrachan, Founder and Chairman of Generation6, who presented case studies and interactive exercises on family business continuity and succession planning.
The Governance Series offers educational workshops on critical issues for family businesses, covering topics like governance frameworks, compliance regulations, and long-term success strategies. This session was the fourth of the year and provided networking opportunities while inviting local and global family businesses to share their success stories.
In addition to workshops, the centre has released a guide on 'Succession Planning for Family Businesses,' offering tools for generational management transitions. Launched in May 2023, the Dubai Centre for Family Businesses aims to enhance the sustainability and economic contribution of family-owned companies in Dubai, supporting the emirate's development plans.
