Oman and Arab Fund Sign Agreement for UTAS Branch in Musandam

Oman, 24 September, 2024 : Sultan Salim Al Habsi, Oman’s Minister of Finance, met with Badr Mohammed Al Saad, Chairman and Director General of the Arab Fund for Economic and Social Development, to discuss enhancing cooperation between Oman and the Fund. 

During the meeting, a loan agreement was signed to finance the first phase of establishing a branch of the University of Technology and Applied Sciences (UTAS) in Musandam Governorate. This initiative aligns with Oman Vision 2040 and aims to develop national skills to meet labor market needs. 

UTAS will offer various study programs in economics, business administration, information technology, engineering, and education for both undergraduate and postgraduate students.
