Qatar and Canada Enhance Cooperation with Developmental Agreements During Amir's Visit

Qatar, 24 September, 2024 : The recent visit of Amir H H Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani to Canada has reaffirmed the robust bilateral relations between Qatar and Canada, coinciding with the 50th anniversary of their diplomatic ties. 

During the visit, a memorandum of understanding (MoU) was signed to enhance developmental cooperation, economic empowerment in line with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). A joint commitment of $95 million was announced to empower youth, with Qatar's Education Above All Foundation pledging $40 million for various initiatives.
