Bahrain’s Minister of Industry and Commerce Attends World FZO 10th World Congress in Dubai

Bahrain, 25 September, 2024 : H.E. Mr. Abdulla bin Adel Fakhro, Minister of Industry and Commerce of Bahrain, participated in the World Free Zones Organization (FZO) 10th World Congress held in Dubai. The event, held under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister of the UAE, and Ruler of Dubai, focused on the theme “Zones and the Shifting Global Economic Structures - Unlocking New Investment Avenues.”

During the ministerial meeting, discussions centered on the impact of artificial intelligence and modern technology on global trade, with an emphasis on fostering sustainable and comprehensive development. Minister Fakhro highlighted the importance of adopting new technologies to enhance global trade.

On the sidelines of the congress, Minister Fakhro held meetings with H.E. Dr. Thani bin Ahmed Al Zeyoudi, UAE Minister of State for Foreign Trade, H.E. Mr. Mohamed bin Hadi Al Hussaini, UAE Minister of State for Financial Affairs, and H.E. Mr. Khalfan Belhoul, CEO of Dubai Future Foundation, to discuss bilateral cooperation and strengthening ties between Bahrain and the UAE.

The World FZO 10th World Congress attracted over 2,000 global business leaders and officials from more than 100 countries, discussing key priorities for the free zone sector. This year's event also marks the 10th anniversary of the World FZO, featuring insights from leading experts in free zones, logistics, and investments.
