Bahrain, 27 September, 2024 : Bahrain's non-oil exports (National Origin) in August 2024 totaled BD298 million ($786 million), an 8% decrease from BD324 million ($855 million) in August 2023, according to the Information & eGovernment Authority (iGA). The top export destinations were Saudi Arabia (BD66 million), the US (BD57 million), and the UAE (BD27 million).
Unwrought Aluminum Alloys were the top export product, valued at BD73 million, followed by Unwrought Aluminum Not Alloyed (BD36 million) and Agglomerated Iron Ores (BD31 million).
Non-oil imports also fell by 7% to BD494 million, with China (BD66 million), Australia (BD52 million), and the US (BD39 million) as the top import sources. The trade deficit for August 2024 was BD136 million, slightly lower than the BD139 million deficit in 2023.
