UAE, 02 October, 2024 : The UAE, represented by the Ministry of Finance, hosted the 6th Financial Dialogue with the Swiss Federal Department of Finance in Abu Dhabi. The dialogue aimed to strengthen bilateral cooperation in areas such as international taxation, macroeconomic developments, and digital finance.
Key attendees included UAE Minister of State for Financial Affairs Mohamed Hadi Al Hussaini and Swiss State Secretary for International Finance Daniela Stoffel Delbrück. Both sides signed a joint statement to reaffirm the UAE-Swiss Strategic Financial Dialogue.
Al Hussaini highlighted the dialogue as a key platform for exploring new avenues of financial partnership, emphasizing collaboration in digital finance and virtual asset regulation. He noted the importance of government and private sector coordination in promoting sustainable economic growth.
Delbrück praised the dialogue's role in fostering closer ties between the two nations, expressing optimism for continued collaboration in financial innovation and sustainability.
The discussions covered global financial trends, including G20 and IMF developments, digital finance regulation, AML/CFT advancements, and international taxation. Both sides reiterated their commitment to further strengthening financial cooperation to support global economic growth.
