ZATCA Conducts 15,000+ Inspections in September to Enforce Tax Compliance

KSA, 08 October, 2024 : The Zakat, Tax and Customs Authority (ZATCA) conducted over 15,000 inspection visits across various markets and commercial shops in Saudi Arabia during September. These visits targeted key sectors, including retail sales, tobacco, malls, and livestock markets.

ZATCA reported common violations, such as the absence of QR codes on electronic invoices, lack of tax stamps, and failure to issue debit or credit notes. The inspections aim to enhance compliance with tax regulations and curb violations within the Authority's jurisdiction.

The Authority encourages consumers to report tax violations via its website or mobile app, offering rewards of 2.5% of the value of reported violations, ranging from a minimum of 1,000 riyals to a maximum of one million riyals.
