Saudi Assistant Deputy Minister Highlights Accounting Innovations at Qatar Conference

KSA, 08 October, 2024 : Mr. Abdullah Al Mehthil, Saudi Arabia's Assistant Deputy Minister of Finance for Policy and Governance, participated in the "Qatar Sustainable Development and Economic Diversification Conference" on October 2, 2024, in Doha. The event was organized by the Qatar Certified Public Accountants Association in partnership with the International Federation of Accountants (IFAC) and the British Association of Chartered Certified Accountants.

During a panel discussion titled “Exploring Emerging Horizons: Future Trends in the Accounting Profession and Professionalism in Public Finance,” Al Mehthil highlighted Saudi Arabia's transition from a cash-based to an accrual-based accounting system. His presentation emphasized the successful implementation plan and methodology that have garnered international attention for their effectiveness.
