Saudi Arabia and Oman Strengthen Economic Ties Amid Growing Trade Volume

KSA, 10 October, 2024 : Saudi Arabia and Oman are enhancing their trade and economic partnership, with the trade volume between the two nations reaching SR 36.8 billion. Saudi exports to Oman accounted for SR 22.5 billion. 

The discussions took place during the visit of Omani Minister of Economy Dr. Said Al-Saqri and his delegation to the Kingdom. The Saudi delegation, led by Minister of Commerce and Chairman of the National Competitiveness Center (NCC) Dr. Majed Al-Qasabi, addressed various economic topics relevant to the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) aimed at boosting intra-regional and external trade.

Dr. Al-Qasabi highlighted the Kingdom's economic reforms, supported by Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammed bin Salman, which align with Saudi Vision 2030. These reforms are designed to enhance sustainable economic growth and improve the business environment, making Saudi Arabia more competitive globally. He emphasized the positive performance of the Saudi economy in global reports and indicators and the ongoing initiatives aimed at further improving the business landscape through collaboration with relevant government entities.
