Bahrain's Industry Minister Affirms Strong Economic Ties with the UK

Bahrain, 10 October, 2024 : H.E. Mr. Abdulla bin Adel Fakhro, Minister of Industry and Commerce, praised the deep historical ties between Bahrain and the United Kingdom, particularly in trade and investment. His remarks came during a keynote speech at a luncheon organized by the Bahraini-British Business Forum, attended by British Ambassador H.E. Mr. Alistair Long and forum chairman Mr. Khalid Rashid Al-Zayani.

The Minister emphasized Bahrain's role as a gateway for business in the region and outlined Bahrain's Economic Vision 2030, which aims for a diversified and sustainable economy focused on innovation and international partnerships. He noted that this vision aligns with the aspirations of Bahrain's Economic Vision 2050, which seeks to enhance the Kingdom's position in economic development and sustainability.

Additionally, H.E. Fakhro highlighted Bahrain's commitment to investing in technology and digital transformation, acknowledging the valuable British experience in these areas. He reiterated the Kingdom's efforts to create a business-friendly environment to attract foreign investments and establish Bahrain as an appealing destination for international companies.
