UAE, 18 October, 2024 : A UAE trade delegation, led by Dr. Ali Saeed bin Harmal Al Dhaheri, participated in the UAE-Uzbekistan Business Forum from 14th to 16th October. The event, attended by 200 representatives from both public and private sectors, focused on exploring commercial partnerships in Uzbekistan.
Organized by the Federation of UAE Chambers in collaboration with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Uzbekistan, the forum highlighted the growing trade relations between the two nations. Dr. Al Dhaheri noted that trade exchange has reached approximately US$1.9 billion, making the UAE one of Uzbekistan’s largest trading partners.
Dilshod Rasulov, Deputy Chairman of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Uzbekistan, announced that six agreements had been signed with UAE entities, resulting in over 320 Emirati-owned companies in Uzbekistan, including more than 120 joint ventures.
The forum included presentations on Uzbekistan's economic policies and advantages for foreign investors, alongside 125 bilateral meetings between UAE delegation members and Uzbek officials, businesspeople, and investors.
