Kuwait, February 04, 2024 : Nakat, the World Bank's Resident Representative in Kuwait, stated that the World Bank is poised to assist Kuwait in achieving its Vision 2035. Nakat emphasized the importance of investing in human capital, governance, public administration, services, and sustainable infrastructure development. The World Bank aims to collaborate closely with Kuwait to turn the country into a global hub for commerce and financing.
With Kuwait's membership in the World Bank since 1961, Nakat expressed eagerness to enhance cooperation between the two entities at all levels. The World Bank, founded in 1944 with 189 members, offers tailored development consultancy, crisis management, and loans to address poverty and foster development worldwide.
