Saudi Finance Minister Heads Delegation to IMF-WBG Annual Meetings and G20 FMCBG Meeting

KSA, 21 October, 2024 : H.E. Mohammed Aljadaan, Saudi Minister of Finance, is leading the Kingdom's delegation to the 2024 Annual Meetings of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) and World Bank Group (WBG), as well as the 4th G20 Finance Ministers and Central Bank Governors (FMCBG) meeting, held in Washington, D.C., from October 21-26.

The delegation includes H.E. Ayman Alsayari, Governor of the Saudi Central Bank (SAMA), H.E. Abdulmuhsen Alkhalaf, Vice Minister of Finance, and other senior officials from key financial and development entities, including the Saudi Fund for Development (SFD) and Zakat, Tax and Customs Authority (ZATCA).

Minister Aljadaan will chair the International Monetary and Financial Committee (IMFC) meeting, where global economic policy priorities and the IMF’s role in addressing global challenges will be discussed. He and SAMA Governor Alsayari will also participate in the 4th G20 FMCBG meeting, focusing on enhancing multilateral cooperation to tackle pressing global economic issues.

The Annual Meetings will gather finance ministers, central bankers, and global leaders to discuss critical topics such as sustainable development, financial stability, and poverty eradication.
