Oman, 23 October, 2024 : Oman has signed investment agreements exceeding RO 7 million to enhance its transport infrastructure and promote tourism, including a modern transport hub in Nizwa.
Patronized by H.E. Saeed bin Hamood al Mawali, Minister of Transport, the agreements aim to improve commercial services and foster public-private partnerships while creating jobs. The Nizwa hub will feature a bus and taxi station, business centers, and a commercial area, blending modern functionality with traditional architecture.
Sheikh Hilal bin Saeed al Hajri, Governor of Dakhliyah, highlighted the project's potential to boost tourism and improve residents' quality of life. Mwasalat will manage the hub, facilitating intercity bus routes and enhancing connectivity.
Additionally, the Ministry of Transport signed two agreements worth nearly RO 15 million for road infrastructure, including the completion of the Saih Qatna Road project and the restoration of the Bidbid-Nizwa Road, emphasizing collaboration with local authorities.
