Qatar, 23 October, 2024 : The Qatar Financial Centre (QFC) is set to host the 20th Corporate Registers Forum (CRF) from November 4 to 7, 2024, at Le Royal Méridien Doha. This marks the first time the prestigious conference is held in Qatar, highlighting the country's growing role in the global business community.
The CRF Conference, an annual event held in a different country each year, attracts participants from around the world to discuss the latest developments in corporate business registers, share knowledge, and network. Under the theme “Innovative Registries – Business Enablers of the Future,” the conference will explore how registries can support business growth amid evolving economic and technological landscapes.
The event will feature experts, including representatives from the World Bank and the United Nations Commission on International Trade, covering topics such as Distributed Ledger Technology, Artificial Intelligence in business registries, and compliance with FATF recommendations. A dedicated day will focus on ‘Beneficial Ownership,’ featuring discussions on anti-money laundering.
Nasser Al-Taweel, Deputy CEO and Chief Legal Officer at QFC, emphasized the conference's significance for Qatar's business environment, stating it will strengthen international connections and provide insights into best practices in corporate governance. The event aligns with QFC's commitment to fostering a transparent and innovative business culture in Qatar.
