National Bureau for Revenue Achieves ISO 27001:2022 Certification for Information Security

Bahrain, 29 October, 2024 : The National Bureau for Revenue (NBR) has been awarded the ISO 27001:2022 certification, a global standard for information security management, following a thorough audit process conducted by certified registrar RoyalCert. The certification, applied across all NBR departments and electronic systems, underscores the bureau's commitment to high-level information security practices.

Mrs. Rana Ebrahim Faqihi, Chief Executive of NBR, highlighted that this achievement reflects the bureau’s dedication to information privacy, risk management, and the adoption of best international security practices. She extended her thanks to the NBR teams for their efforts in implementing robust security controls and fostering user compliance with information protection standards. 

ISO 27001:2022, issued by the International Organization for Standardization, sets a benchmark for effective information security management worldwide.
