UAE Ministry of Finance Engages in New Development Bank Meeting on Sustainable Investment

UAE, 30 October, 2024 : The UAE, represented by the Ministry of Finance, joined the New Development Bank’s (NDB) ninth annual Board of Governors meeting in Cape Town, South Africa, on August 30, under the theme “Investing in a Sustainable Future.” 

Led by HE Mohamed bin Hadi Al Hussaini, UAE officials engaged with global leaders on strategies for sustainable development. Key discussions included enhancing sustainable investment, aligning with the Sustainable Development Goals, and supporting the Paris Agreement’s climate goals.

The NDB meeting underscored collaboration to drive sustainable infrastructure projects, improve domestic capital markets, and encourage private sector participation in BRICS and other emerging economies.
