Oman, 30 October, 2024 : Oman and Algeria signed eight memoranda of understanding (MoUs) today during the Algerian President’s state visit to Oman, marking a step toward deeper collaboration. These agreements cover various sectors, including higher education, research, financial services, employment, media, environment, and investment. Signed by top ministers from both nations, the MoUs are part of a joint strategy to enhance knowledge exchange and build closer ties between government institutions and private enterprises.
Oman’s Foreign Minister, Sayyid Badr Hamad Al Busaidi, highlighted that these MoUs align with the countries' shared goals, especially in economic and investment sectors, and will stimulate broader cooperation and economic integration. Algerian Foreign Minister Ahmed Attaf affirmed that the agreements provide mutual benefits and set a foundation for more extensive collaboration across priority areas.
The MoUs aim to foster growth in key fields while implementing follow-up mechanisms to ensure ongoing progress, signaling a period of enhanced engagement and shared prosperity between Oman and Algeria.
