Bahrain Reports 1% Increase in Q3 Non-Oil Exports, Reaches $2.52 Billion

Bahrain, 30 October, 2024 : In Q3 2024, Bahrain’s national origin non-oil exports rose 1% to BD949 million ($2.52 billion), up from BD943 million in the same period last year, as reported by the Information & eGovernment Authority (iGA). The top exporting country was Saudi Arabia, accounting for BD201 million (21%), followed by the US at BD105 million (11%) and the UAE at BD81 million (9%).

Non-oil re-exports also increased by 3% to BD190 million, with the UAE as the leading partner. In contrast, non-oil imports grew by 3% to BD1.44 billion, with China being the top source at BD212 million (15%). As a result, the trade deficit widened to BD304 million in Q3 2024, compared to BD275 million in Q3 2023.
