KSA, 4 November, 2024 : The Zakat, Tax and Customs Authority (ZATCA) is urging taxpayers to make use of its "Cancellation of Fines and Exemption of Penalties Initiative," ending on 31 December 2024.
The initiative offers exemptions on fines for late registration, payment, and filing across various tax areas, as well as VAT-related violations, including e-invoicing compliance. To qualify, taxpayers must be registered, submit outstanding returns, and settle principal tax debts. An installment plan is also available if requested within the initiative period and if payments are made on time. Exclusions apply to tax evasion penalties and fines paid before the initiative’s start date.
