UAE, 8 November, 2024 : Dubai has ranked as the top city in the Middle East and North Africa for the second consecutive year in the 2024 Global City Index by Brand Finance. Globally, Dubai climbed to fifth place among 100 cities, surpassing major cities like Singapore, Los Angeles, and Amsterdam with a score of 86 out of 100.
H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, credited the success to the leadership of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum and the Dubai Plan 2030, which positions Dubai as a leader in global competitiveness. Sheikh Hamdan praised the collaborative efforts behind this achievement and emphasized the city’s commitment to strategic growth.
Dubai led globally in reputation, surpassing cities such as Sydney and London. It also ranked first for investment desirability and future growth expectations, reflecting its strong economy, world-class infrastructure, and strategic position between East and West. Additionally, Dubai has seen gains in local and remote work opportunities, climbing from 24th to 4th in this category.
Further, Dubai’s investment appeal is bolstered by its corporate taxation benefits, high-quality educational offerings, and ease of obtaining a visa. The city has also been recognized for its educational excellence and connectivity, enhancing its attractiveness for both residents and global investors.
