Qatar, 12 November, 2024 : Qatar Central Bank's international reserves and foreign currency liquidity rose by 4.36% in October, reaching QR 254.166 billion, compared to QR 243.534 billion in the same month in 2023.
The bank’s official reserves saw an increase of QR 10.438 billion, totaling QR 195.158 billion by the end of October. This growth is attributed to an increase in foreign bonds and treasury bills, which rose by QR 2.280 billion to QR 138.478 billion.
Gold holdings also grew by QR 12.563 billion to reach QR 35.736 billion, while Special Drawing Rights (SDRs) deposits at the IMF rose by QR 2.9 million to QR 5.190 billion.
However, balances with foreign banks decreased by QR 4.407 billion, bringing the total to QR 15.753 billion at the end of October 2024.
