Over 25 Qatari Companies Participate in Trade Mission to Strengthen UAE Ties

Qatar, 18 November, 2024 : Qatar Development Bank (QDB) is organizing a trade mission to the UAE, bringing together over 25 Qatari companies from diverse sectors. The mission, sponsored by QDB’s export arm "Tasdeer," aims to explore new opportunities in the UAE market and foster partnerships between Qatari and UAE companies.

The participating sectors include construction, plastics, food and beverage, iron and steel, as well as innovative fields like artificial intelligence and sports technology. This reflects both countries’ shared vision for economic integration through innovation.

Khalid Abdullah Al-Mana, Vice President of Enterprise Development at QDB, emphasized that the mission aims to position Qatari companies as trusted partners in the UAE market, strengthening economic ties and opening new market opportunities.

The B2B trade mission, scheduled for November 19-20, 2024, at the One&Only One Za'abeel hotel in Dubai, will feature business matchmaking, site visits, and networking opportunities. This initiative is part of ongoing efforts to deepen trade relations and foster economic growth in the Gulf region.

Economic ties between Qatar and the UAE have grown steadily, with trade volume increasing by 19% year on year from 2021 to 2023.
