UAE, 20 November, 2024 : The Federal Tax Authority (FTA) held a media briefing with UAE live radio broadcasters to highlight its development projects and initiatives, including advancements in digital transformation and the “Zero Government Bureaucracy” strategy.
The event, attended by His Excellency Khalid Ali Al Bustani, Director General of the FTA, and senior officials, emphasized the importance of collaboration with media partners. The FTA aims to leverage media feedback to enhance its operations and improve communication with taxpayers.
Key updates included advancements in Value Added Tax (VAT), Excise Tax, and Corporate Tax implementation. The FTA also spotlighted initiatives like the "Maskan" app for VAT refunds on new home construction, the "EmaraTax" smart tax platform, and the "Mowaffaq" package simplifying tax compliance for SMEs.
HE Khalid Al Bustani reaffirmed the FTA’s commitment to stakeholder engagement and praised the media’s role in sharing taxpayer insights and challenges. Broadcasters commended the FTA for its responsiveness and proactive approach to supporting the business community.
The briefing underscored the FTA’s mission to strengthen partnerships, streamline tax procedures, and enhance taxpayer satisfaction across the UAE.
