KSA, 21 November, 2024 : The Zakat, Tax, and Customs Authority (ZATCA) has called on freight forwarders to take advantage of the shipments consolidation service for shared containers at Saudi Arabia's sea ports. The service streamlines customs declarations and consolidates incoming shipments, allowing freight forwarders to manage all services for customers, from transportation to warehousing.
ZATCA emphasized that freight forwarders play a key role in the global supply chain, offering competitive pricing and more shipping options, which can reduce import and export costs.
Additionally, freight forwarding companies can now obtain licenses for customs clearance, enhancing trade facilitation and boosting customs efficiency. ZATCA aims to position Saudi Arabia as a global logistics hub by improving customs procedures and collaborating with relevant authorities.
