UAE, 22 November, 2024 : The Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI) has reiterated its commitment to enhancing the performance of Sectoral Business Groups to accelerate Sharjah's economic growth. During a recent meeting with group leaders, the Chamber discussed strategic initiatives to optimise their contributions across key sectors such as manufacturing, real estate, serviced apartments, and used car trade.
Abdallah Sultan Al Owais, Chairman of SCCI, chaired the meeting alongside Abdul Aziz Al Shamsi, Assistant Director-General for Communication and Business Sector. They reviewed achievements from the past year and outlined key elements of the 2025 strategic work plan to advance the operations of the business groups.
The discussions focused on proposals and initiatives aimed at fostering the growth of private sector companies in Sharjah. These efforts seek to improve service delivery, enhance competitiveness, and strengthen Sharjah's business environment.
Al Owais emphasised the pivotal role of Sectoral Business Groups as partners in achieving the emirate’s development goals. He highlighted the importance of their collaboration and continuous communication with government and private sector stakeholders to identify growth opportunities and boost economic competitiveness.
The meeting also featured panel discussions where group heads presented accomplishments from the past year and outlined plans for the future. These sessions explored ways to refine services and capitalise on Sharjah’s abundant business opportunities, driving sustainable growth across diverse sectors.
