UAE, 25 November, 2024 : The UAE, represented by the Ministry of Finance, hosted the 6th Financial Dialogue with Switzerland's Federal Department of Finance in Abu Dhabi. The discussions focused on enhancing bilateral cooperation in macroeconomic developments, international taxation, digital finance, and collaboration between public and private sectors.
Key attendees included H.E. Mohamed bin Hadi Al Hussaini, UAE Minister of State for Financial Affairs, and H.E. Daniela Stoffel Delbrück, Swiss State Secretary for International Finance. Both sides signed a joint statement reaffirming the importance of the UAE-Swiss Strategic Financial Dialogue as a platform for fostering growth and innovation.
The dialogue addressed global economic and financial trends, including discussions on the G20, international taxation, digital finance, and regulatory policies. Participants emphasized cooperation on AML/CFT initiatives and virtual asset regulation.
H.E. Al Hussaini highlighted the dialogue’s role in strengthening bilateral ties and advancing sustainable development, while H.E. Stoffel praised the collaboration as essential for fostering innovation and financial stability.
The meeting concluded with both nations committing to ongoing cooperation, leveraging the dialogue to promote financial sustainability and stimulate economic growth.
