FTA Urges Juridical Persons to Register for Corporate Tax by November 30, 2024

UAE, 26 November, 2024 :  The Federal Tax Authority (FTA) has reminded Resident Juridical Persons with Licences issued in October and November, regardless of the year of issuance, to complete their Corporate Tax registration by November 30, 2024, to avoid Administrative Penalties.

The FTA highlighted that under Decision No. 3 of 2024, Taxable Persons must adhere to specified registration timelines to comply with Federal Decree-Law No. 47 of 2022 on Corporate Taxation. Penalties for late registration are outlined in Cabinet Decision No. 75 of 2023.

Juridical Persons incorporated before March 1, 2024, must register based on the month their Licence was issued. For those with multiple or expired Licences, the registration deadline is determined by the earliest issuance date.

Corporate Tax registration is available 24/7 on the EmaraTax platform. The streamlined process takes about 30 minutes and requires submitting necessary documents to obtain a Tax Registration Number. Existing VAT or Excise Tax registrants can easily add Corporate Tax registration via the platform.

Taxable Persons can also register through authorised Tax Agents or government service centres. The FTA encouraged users to review Corporate Tax Law, guidelines, and decisions available at
