KSA, 26 November, 2024 : The Saudi Council of Ministers will convene a special session on Tuesday, November 26, to present the Kingdom's general budget for the fiscal year 1446/1447 AH (2025), the Saudi Press Agency announced.
As per the Ministry of Finance's Pre-Budget Statement released on September 30, 2024, expenditures for 2025 are projected at SAR 1,285 billion, with revenues estimated at SAR 1,184 billion. This forecasts a deficit of SAR 101 billion, equivalent to 2.3% of the GDP.
The statement highlighted the government’s commitment to increasing strategic spending to drive economic diversification and sustainable growth. By 2027, revenues are expected to rise to SAR 1,289 billion, with expenditures reaching SAR 1,429 billion.
For 2024, Saudi Arabia announced a budget with revenues of SAR 1,172 billion and expenditures of SAR 1,251 billion, projecting a deficit of SAR 79 billion. The budget was approved during a session chaired by King Salman on December 6, 2023.
