KSA, 27 November, 2024 : The Zakat, Tax, and Customs Authority (ZATCA) has called on importers to submit customs declarations and required documents at least 72 hours before shipment arrivals to expedite clearance processes and reduce import costs.
ZATCA spokesperson Mr. Hamoud Al-Harbi emphasized the importance of providing accurate documentation, including the bill of lading and invoices, and securing prior approvals for goods requiring special permits. Early compliance, he noted, prevents delays and additional costs while streamlining customs operations.
Highlighting the "Clearance Within Two Hours" initiative, Al-Harbi said the program accelerates customs processing as part of ZATCA's strategy to support Saudi Vision 2030 by enhancing the Kingdom's competitiveness as a global logistics hub.
ZATCA, in collaboration with 26 government entities, continues to facilitate smooth customs procedures and improve logistics services. For inquiries, individuals can contact the 24/7 helpline at 19993 or reach out via the "Ask Zakat, Tax, and Customs" account on X.
